Characters
The Warden inheirited his prison from his father (refered to as "The
Prison Mogul"), but felt that the methods of incarceration in use were not
suitable enough to reform the inmates. He therefore created "Superjail,"
often hinted at being part of another dimension, a futuristic jail which
appears to shift its settings according to the Warden's whims. Eccentric
& quite possibly deranged, the Warden frequently concocts nefarious schemes
which result in mass rioting & the violent deaths of the inmates. He is
also considerably vain, having a number of machines (& cell units) modeled
in his image.
Jared is Superjail's unstable accountant & the Warden's personal
whipping boy. He is always sweating & has a number of vices he tries to keep
under control, including alcoholism & binge eating, but oftentimes the stress
caused by the Warden's antics cause him to relapse. Despite it all, he is
a notorious sycophant, always at the Warden's side, ready to shower him with
praise. Jared is generally regarded with distain by his co-workers & is
sometimes forced into dangerous situations (such as being disguised as a
criminal & locked in with Superjail's inmates) the Warden does not wish to
try himself.
Alice is the one & only guard patroling Superjail. Her deep voice,
bulging muscles, & an obvious lump under her skirt suggest she is a
transvestite, though she could also just be a hermaphrodite. Alice has a
quick temper which the inmates seem to fear, as she seems to enjoy causing
them physical pain or publically humiliating them. She does have a rarely
seen nurturing side, however, as shown when she helped a group of inmates
throw a birthday party for a little girl discovered inside of Superjail. The
Warden has a huge crush on Alice (raising the question as to whether he is
homosexual or simply oblivious to her masculine traits), but she much prefers
the most terrifying of Superjail's inmates.
Jailbot is in charge of capturing & transporting dangerous criminals.
He has a number of metal arms & an innumeral amount of weapons at his
disposal, which seem to serve no purpose other than destroying everything
in his path in attempts to subdue inmates. At the beginning of every episode,
Jailbot is usually in some disguise (including a pretty woman in one episode)
in order to trick Jackknife into being caught. Jailbot was created by the
Warden, & views him as his father.
The Twins sometimes appear to be inmates at Superjail, however some
episodes suggest they merely like to hang around & watch the chaos unfold.
In either case, the riots within Superjail are often caused by the Twin's
interferance either for their own amusement, or by sabotaging a plot already
in play by the Warden. The Twins have their own secret lab beneath Superjail
& are capable of hacking into the main systems (including Jailbot), which
they use to implement their schemes. They both also have the ability to
teleport anywhere they wish, & appear to be part of a collective society
in an alternate dimension outside of Superjail.
Jackknife is a low-level criminal captured by Jailbot at the beginning
of every episode. He does not speak at all, only grunts & moans, & usually
has no impact on the plot of the show. In the hysteria of the rioting, he
almost always succeeds in escaping Superjail towards the end of every episode.
